This is a circa 1920, ceiling light composed of a painted glass shade with parrots in a decorated brass fixture. The light hangs 10 3/4" from the ceiling. The brass fixture has an 8" diameter at the ceiling, a height of 4 1/2", and has a 2 1/4" fitter size. It has been rewired with a porcelain socket and has the junction bar with other hardware necessary for attachment to the ceiling. The glass shade has a maximum diameter of 9" near the top, with a 4" diameter open bottom. The open bottom allows for much more illumination in the room. The glass shade has a fired-on painted design featuring 2 parrots--which is repeated on the opposite side of the shade. All components are in very good condition. There is a matching light also available--there is a slight difference in the brown background color with the same parrots and in the same brass fixture. Exact shipping costs are calculated at purchase.
