This is an early electric desk lamp made between 1890 and 1910. The lamp is shown in the Faries MFG Co. 1902 Catalogue and called the "C" lamp. Early desk lamps have a solid brass rod so the electrical cord exits near the socket. The lamp stands 22" in its current position with a 9 1/2" width and a 6" diameter base. It has a 6" green cased cone shade from the same period. The lamp stem has two thumb screws to adjust the position of the shade along the curved part of the stem and also to adjust the height of the lamp. The lamp has a turn key socket and been rewired. It is in very good condition and ready for many more years of use. Exact shipping costs are calculated at purchase.
