This is a hinged, cast bronze flush-mounted light fixture that is signed "Sterling Bronze Co. New York", and is circa 1910, with an etched and copper wheel cut 10" dome shade. Sterling Bronze was know for very high quality light fixtures, comparable to Caldwell. The light has a 12" diameter at the ceiling and hangs 6" from the ceiling. The fixture has a hinged opening so that the shade can swing down to change the light bulbs. It has been rewired, has 2 porcelain sockets, and is in very good condition for installation.
