This is a spectacular eapg tobacco jar / humidor made by the Cooperative Flint Glass Co., circa 1899. This outstanding eapg pattern is called "Famous," aka "Panelled Thumbprint". It is beautiful, heavy-weight glass - clear and bright, with a fabulous zippered thumbprint pattern! The metal lid (a magnet does not stick) has a fabulous embossed 'Art Nouveau' cherub and cartouch design with a 'gold wash' finish - so romantic, and stunning! Measures approx. 6 1/2 inches tall x 5 1/2 inches wide. This fabulous humidor DOES have chips and roughness on the four 'feet', they are not especially noticeable when displayed, and it is priced accordingly. The lid does have some denting also, but overall this is a wonderful old piece with tons of charm!
