Snail, Idaho pattern glass celery vase, Duncan
This magnificent Eapg celery vase is the 'Small comet' pattern, a.k.a. 'Snail', and 'Idaho' ( U.S. Glass 'states' pattern) made first by George Duncan & Sons, circa 1880's and then, by U.S. Glass in the 1890s. This is a heavy glass celery vase, with a fabulous swirling comet pattern! It measures 6 inches tall x 3 1/2 inches across the top rim, and is in Very Good - Excellent condition with no chips or cracks! The glass is sparkling and clear, with some minor surface scratches, to be expected after 125+ years! This eapg glass fluoresces soft yellow-green under uv light to further verify age! This would make a gorgeous flower vase or kitchen utensil holder, perhaps? I guarantee you will love it!
