This is a magnificent, antique eapg covered butter dish, with attached underplate. This 'stand alone' (not part of an eapg pattern or set) pattern is called Lorne, and was made by Bryce Brothers, circa 1880's. This is an excellent stippled, and beaded butter dish, in a delightfully unusual curvy shape! Measures 7 1/2 inches long x 5 inches wide x 4 inches tall. In wonderful condition - even this delicate beaded edge has not one chip! There are a couple very shallow flakes near the handle, but they are hard to detect (and impossible to photograph!) Priced accordingly. This old glass glows a soft yellow-green under uv light to further verify age! You will love this very unique eapg butter dish!
