This is an outstanding set of eapg, berry, or sauce bowls, made by the Jefferson Glass Co., circa 1904. This very elegant Victorian glass pattern is called "Swag with Brackets" and has a draped swag garland encircling the body and four leaf embossed feet - all painted with shiny gold highlights! This is a very sweet, light 'pea green' color - not vaseline glass - quite scarce, and rarely seen in this "Swag with Brackets" pattern. Each bowl measures 4 1/4 inches across the scalloped rim x 2 inches high. They are in Excellent condition!! With no signs of use, they have no chips that I can find anywhere, and barely any roughness on the 'feet', (which is usually the case!) amazingly over 90% of the gold highlights remain, also! This is an unbelievable set! Of course, they do have the usual Charming characteristics of Victorian made antiQue glass, ie. ‘straw marks’ (shear marks) tiny bubbles, and 'creases', or, 'annealing' lines on the surface of the glass. This Jefferson Glass set is truly a very special treasure!
