This pattern glass cream pitcher is an advertising item from Bellaire, Ohio, circa 1880. The base rim reads, in raised lettering: "The Scotch Preserving, Co. Bellaire, Ohio". This sweet, antique eapg creamer measures nearly 6 inches tall x 4 1/4 inches across the top scalloped rim, including the handle. This interesting little pitcher is in great condition for it's 135 years! There are no chips or cracks, only some very light surface scratches, and 'annealing' lines (fine 'creases') common in this antique Victorian glass! I'm not certain which glass company produced this pitcher (there were several in this Ohio region) but, it certainly is a special treasure!
