Eapg Duncan glass 'Diamond Ridge' nappy bowl
This sweet, antique 'nappy', or handled bowl, is the EAPG glass pattern called 'Diamond Ridge' made by George Duncan & Sons, circa 1901. This is very similar to the 'Mardi gras' Eapg pattern, also made by Duncan. This versatile handled nappy measures 6 inches across the scalloped top rim including the handle X approx. 2 inches deep. This is a gorgeous pattern featuring rows of inter-locking diamond shapes in bright, sparkling crystal clear glass. The diamond pattern is repeated on the handle and the bottom features a large impressed star pattern. This bowl is in Good condition, though there are a couple very small chips on the scalloped rim - barely detectable among the sawtooth pattern. A bit of gold remains around the rim, also. This antique glass glows a strong yellow-green under uv blacklight to further verify age. You will find many uses for this very versatile bowl, from serving nuts, candy or relish, to even a spoon rest!
