Victorian Milk glass Decanter, antique barber bottle, Dithridge opaque
This fabulous antique, Victorian milk glass Decanter / Cologne / barber bottle was made by the Dithridge Glass company - a milky, opaque white - it is mold-blown glass with remnants of gold paint remaining. This is a Quite grand antique decanter with a raised ornate leafy, swirling scroll pattern, and a very wide base ( about 7 inches across) resting on three round peg feet. The large, hollow stopper is original and has the same pattern. The entire bottle measures about 9 inches tall with the stopper. This decanter is shown in the Dithridge Co. catalog of 1899. In excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, just a bit of roughness around the opening, and expected wear to the gold painted details.
