This antique glass spooner, or open sugar, is the eapg pattern called 'Clear Diagonal Bands' made by Ripley & Co. Glass, circa 1879. This is an excellent, older stippled glass pattern with wide diagonal bands, a raised, ribbed design around the top rim and the pedestal base, as well as a big, single star in the very bottom! This antique, Early American pattern glass spooner measures 5 1/4 inches tall X 4 1/2 inches across the top rim X 3 1/2 inches across the bottom of the pedestal base. In Very good condition for its' age , with 'roughness' around the inner rim and a few small flakes around the base, also. The glass is clear and bright! A marvelous, and versatile antique glass treasure for that special place in your home!
