This stunning carnival glass bowl in a rich glowing marigold color, was made by Imperial Glass Co. circa early 1900's -1920's. It is their seldom seen "Huckabee", or "Flute & Cane" pattern. The gorgeous heavy carnival treatment has an excellent iridescence and just shimmers with all the colors of the rainbow! The base has a large whirling Hobstar pattern and the ruffled rim is beautifully and gracefully 'fluted' down the sides to the well-defined woven 'cane' pattern on the lower half. Not marked - Imperial did not mark many of its' very early pieces. Measures 3 inches tall X 8 inches across its ruffled rim. Listed in "Imperial Carnival Glass" by Carl O. Burns and several other Carnival glass references. In very Good condition with a couple very tiny 'flea bites' on the rim edge, very hard to detect, and slight mold line roughness - very typical in this old glass. A bLaZiNg carnival glass beauty that is sure to add much color to your Life!
