This Wonderful antique, crystal clear, stemmed, open jelly compote with scalloped rim is the Eapg pattern called 'Melrose', also called 'Diamond Beaded Band'. This Sweet Eapg pattern was manufactured by several glass-makers between the years 1887 - 1907, including Bryce Co., Greensburg Glass, McKee Brothers and New Martinsville Glass Company - it was obviously a much-loved pattern! This antique jelly compote stands 5 inches tall on a charming diamond and rosette banded stem X 5 3/4 inches across the scalloped top rim. In excellent condition - with No chips or cracks, and barely any utensil marks or signs of use - just the usual Charming characteristics of Victorian era glass, ie. occasional tiny bubbles/specks of ash, visible mold lines, surface annealing lines, etc. This antique glass glows strong yellow-green under uv blacklight to further verify age!
