This fabulous, antique milk glass butter dish is the 'Cosmos', or 'Stemless Daisy' eapg pattern made by the Consolidated Lamp and Glass Company, circa 1900. This Stunning, Pattern glass butter dish is opaque, (almost translucent!) white milk glass, with a detailed, all-over 'netted' pattern, and a very sweet, 'puffy', round domed lid. The bottom plate and domed lid are both decorated with a Lovely, raised daisy and cosmos flower design - all delicately hand-painted in pastel shades of pink, yellow and blue. The plate measures 8 inches across, and the dome lid measures over 6 inches high to the top of the flower finial. This is an Outstanding 'Cosmos' piece, in Excellent condition with just a couple, tiny & nearly undetectable, smooth flakes on the inside plate rim ( The tiny amount of 'roughness' on the bottom rim of the lid opening is a quite normal condition of Victorian era manufactured glass!) Some minor wear to the painted details is to be expected after 100+ years! A reaL Beauty - You are sure to LoVe this antique Pattern glass Treasure! This would make a Very speCiaL gift, as well!
