This antique, Victorian pattern glass syrup, or molasses pitcher, was made by the Tarentum Glass Co., circa 1898. This amazing eapg pattern is called 'Beveled Diamond and Star', 'Diamond Prisms', or 'Albany'. An Outstanding Tarentum glass pattern featuring large, deeply beveled star designs around the body, with FaBuLoUsly unusual, thick notched grooves all around the midsection, and trimmed with a Sweet, curvy scalloped band encircling the star pattern above and below. This antique eapg syrup is gorgeous, sparkling crystal clear, high-Quality, heavy mold-blown glass with an oval shaped handle, a smooth concave pontil on the bottom, and a white, or silver metal/ or pewter lid. Measures 7 1/2 inches tall X 4 inches wide. In Excellent condition considering its' 112 years! Only the usual, age-appropriate wear to the metal lid, with the glass having only minor wear and light surface scratches, actually quite remarkable for a piece of this age - also, a bit of mold-line roughness and 'straw' marks - normal for this charming, Victorian era glass! This great syrup pitcher glows strong yellow-green under uv light to verify age! An incredible Victorian glass treasure - in a Marvelous, and somewhat scarce, Eapg glass pattern!
