This is a very detailed antiQue eapg 'flat' round sauce dish in the 'Minerva' pattern manufactured by Boston & Sandwich Glass Co., circa 1870's, and Adams Glass, circa 1881. This Minerva pattern is also known as 'Roman Medallion', and 'Mars'. It features an elaborate swirling raised beaded design of ovals, scallops and a heavily beaded rim, with a very detailed Roman soldier figure in the center bottom of the bowl. It is quite a fascinating early piece of eapg glass - difficult to capture all the detail in photos. This individual sauce bowl measures 4 1/4 inches across X 1 inch high. It is in Excellent condition with just a tiny bit of roughness from manufacture, no damage! Glows a soft yellow-green under uv blacklight to further verify age.
