This gorgeous antiQue Art Deco design pewter set has a beautiful glowing patina with elements of the Arts & Crafts era, as well. Each round footed piece is formed into a Smooth 'modern' Art Deco style design with boldly shaped handles. Made in the early 1900's by the Benedict Manufacturing Company of Syracuse, N.Y. which opened in 1894, and closed in 1953. This set appears to be a 'marriage' ( pieces not originally made together) - since the creamer and sugar are marked "Benedict Pewter" #455, and the oval tray has the older Benedict "OMS" pewter mark and # 510 - Nevertheless, it is a marriage that works well! Both marvelous pewter pieces - the creamer and the sugar - measure 3 1/2 inches high each. The tray is 9 1/2 inches X 6 1/2 inches wide. A Lovely set, with tons of character, for your collection! In Very Good Vintage condition with some minor surface pitting/scratches from use, and a few tiny darker spots which could be polished out if you choose. Each piece is also ever-so-slightly mis-shapen due to the natural pliable nature of pewter!
