These fabulous Ruby stained salt and pepper shakers were made by the U.S. Glass Company, circa 1899. This Splendid eapg Victorian glass pattern is called 'Lacy Medallion', or 'Jewel'. Also called `Colorado' as part of the U.S. Glass Company `States' series. This shaker pattern features a row of tiny beading around the very top and an Ornate scroll and jeweled pattern all around the lower half! As was common during this era, these shakers were often purchased as souvenirs. This set is marked "Souvenir of St Louis, Mo". Each antiQue Ruby stained shaker measures 3 inches tall X 1 7/8 inches across the ring base with ornate pressed star design. They are in Excellent condition with NO damage, and minimal wear to the shiny gold highlights. The Ruby stain is remarkable with few scratches and little wear! Just the occasional imperfections typical of Victorian glass, ie. tiny bubbles, and 'straw' marks, or mold marks. A Wonderful AntiQue shaker set in Outstanding condition!
