This marvelous antique, frosted crystal and Rubina, Victorian Art glass salt shaker was made by Northwood Glass Co., circa 1890. It is Northwood’s exceptional ‘Royal Ivy’ pattern! The upper portion of this Victorian shaker is a rich ruby colored glass that fades into crystal frosted glass around the lower half. The ivy leaves that encircle the middle portion are crystal clear. This sWeet antiQue shaker measures 2 7/8 inches tall X 2 ½ inches wide. In Very Good condition with only minor surface scratches consistent with age. The lid is Very good also! A Wonderful example of Harry Northwood’s superb Victorian art glass! **Note - Roughness around the rim under the lid where the shaker was snapped off of the pontil rod is a normal condition for Victorian mold blown shakers - a sign that they are truly antique!
