This splendid antiQue glass, Eapg spooner / spoon holder was made by the US Glass Co., circa 1898. This Ornate pressed pattern is called Pennsylvania, or ‘Balder’ and was part of the U.S. Glass ‘States series‘ patterns. A crystal clear, sparkling antiQue glass spooner featuring a deeply pressed pattern of fans, stars and arched diamond point. Measures 3 7/8 inches tall X 3 7/8 inches across the pretty scalloped top X 2 ¾ inches across the ring base with 24 point star pattern. In Very Good condition - with a few tiny nicks that can barely be felt in the pattern around the lower portion only. Also, much of the gold trim has worn away over time. Expect the usual characteristics of Victorian made antiQue glass, ie. tiny bubbles and occasional ‘straw marks.’ Glows a lovely yellow-green under uv blacklight to further verify age. I also have a covered butter dish in this pattern, if you are interested.
