Eapg Ruby-stained Maiden's Blush Victorian shaker, Banded Portland, Virginia
This fabulous Victorian Eapg salt, or pepper shaker was made by the US Glass Co., circa 1901, and was one of the "States" patterns series. A lovely antique pattern glass shaker with a `cut' glass look - and a dramatic flared shape with 8 vertical panels and a middle band of diamond point. Originally named `Virginia`, but commonly called `Banded Portland' - this Sparkling, antiQue glass shaker features a gorgeous rose colored stain called `Maiden's Blush' and gold highlights. Not often seen, especially in good condition with most ruby stain remaining! Measures 3 ¼ inches tall with lid on X 2 ¼ inches across the flared, bell-shaped base. No chips or cracks, heavy metal lid is in fairly good condition, as well! An outstanding, and relatively rare, Eapg 'Maidens blush' salt shaker with tons of Rosey sparkle!
