This fantastic antiQue Eapg butter dish was made by US Glass Co., circa 1898. This Victorian glass pattern is called 'Pennsylvania', or `Balder' and was part of the U.S. Glass `States series` patterns. This elegant domed butter dish measures over 5 ½ inches high with its round finial handle X 5 ½ inches across the opening of the lid X 8 inches across the bottom plate. It is crystal clear, sparkling glass with an ornate pattern of stars and arched diamond point. In Excellent condition with NO damage, though much of the gold trim has worn away over time. Expect the usual characteristics of Victorian made antiQue glass, ie. tiny bubbles and occasional `straw marks', or annealing lines on the surface. Glows a lovely yellow-green under uv blacklight to further verify age. This is a GoRgeOuS antique butter dish - and will look so speCiaL on your table!
