This Wonderful, Victorian Art Glass shaker called "Scroll, Wave" is from C. F. Monroe, circa 1896 - 1903. (C.F. Monroe did not make their own Glassware, however, - most was supplied by Mt. Washington / Pairpoint, and then hand-decorated at the Monroe factory.) This AntiQue tall, footed, Mold Blown opalware ( milk glass ) shaker is covered with elaborate, embossed scrolling, highlighted beautifully with remnants of light blue enamel! This "Scroll, Wave" pattern Art glass shaker is usually found with a Wavecrest type decor, however, this shaker is undecorated except for the blue highlights. Still a Gorgeous shaker! Measures 3 5/8 inches tall without the top - 4 1/4 inches with the top on. In Very Good condition, including the original pewter lid with finial top! Roughness around the rim under the lid where the shaker was snapped off of the pontil rod is a normal condition for these antique mold blown shakers - a sign that they are truly antique! This art Glass shaker can be Seen in both Vol.1 and 2 of Lechners "Salt Shakers" books. Add this DeliGhtfuL shaker to your collection!
