This is a charming Victorian opaque glass shaker set, circa 1890's. Antique mold blown opal ware, or milk glass, hand-painted with pretty blooms in shades of pink and green. These are 'Pillar' shaped salt, pepper shakers with a creased, or ring, neck. Most likely from Mt. Washington Glass Co., since they made a lot of these opaque glass pillar shakers with similar hand painted decoration. Measured without their lids on - they are 3 1/2 inches tall and in VERY good condition with minimal wear to the pretty painted details. The brass lids appear to be original and are in relatively good condition, with a couple 'splits', but NOT corroded or terribly dented! The shaker rims under the lids are rough - a normal and proper condition for antique Victorian blown shakers since this is where they were snapped off of the pontil rod - proof that they are truly antique! ~~ A GrEaT shaker set for your collection of Victorian Art Glass!
