This Very sWeEt satinized, opaque glass, antique Victorian Salt Shaker was made by the renowned Mt. Washington Glass Co, Circa 1887 -1894. This art glass shaker pattern is called Leaf, Berry Four Feet and has an ornate flower and scroll design in raised relief around the top and bottom of the shaker, as well as, a hand-painted motif of juicy, red strawberries with green leaves done by one of Mt Washington's skilled artists! Also sits on four little 'feet'! A BeAuTiFuL and very CHARMING Mount Washington art glass shaker - Quite collectible! Pictured in Lechner's "World of Salt Shakers" vol 2, page 143. This Victorian art glass shaker measures 3 inches tall with the lid in place. In VERY GOOD condition with NO chips or cracks. Some expected wear to the hand-painted design which can be seen in the photos. * A bit of roughness around the rim under the lid (where the blown-glass shaker was snapped off of the pontil rod) is a proper condition for these antique mold blown shakers - a sign that they are truly antique!
