This marvelous antique custard glass spooner, (or possibly, a sugar bowl without lid) was made by Northwood Glass Co. from 1898 through the early 1900's. This pattern is called 'Jackson', or 'Fluted Scrolls', and is the same as another Northwood pattern named 'Klondyke', except this "Jackson" pattern has a floral embossed band between the 'fluted' sections. Three curled 'feet' and a very sWeeT flower petal-like ruffled rim complete this terrific Northwood pattern spooner! Quite a nice custard glass spoon holder, or sugar bowl, measuring 4 1/4 inches high X 5 inches across. In VERY GOOD condition, with no chips or cracks - some minor roughness on the very bottom of the 'feet' and a couple typical 'straw' marks, or 'shear' marks (from manufacture) in the glass. Even has quite a bit of the original 'nutmeg' painted highlights remaining! A sUpErB Victorian Northwood custard glass piece for your collection!
