These stunning antique porcelain plates / saucers, or butter pats, bear the Limoges 'Coiffe' mark from the 1890s. Lavishly detailed fine Limoges porcelain, with hand-painted dark pink roses and smaller rosebuds all entwined amongst foliage of green leaves and gold stems. All accented by dark green garlands trimmed in gold and a gold trimmed scroll border with much ornate raised detailing in the mold. Even some subtle highlights of blue and yellow! Outstanding artistry! In pristine condition with no chips, cracks or crazing!! This is a truly hard-to-find 'Coiffe' Limoges, antique porcelain plate set - over 120 years old - not many around! Each fine porcelain plate measures 5" in diameter - they are a gorgeous matched set, but not identical since they were each individually and skillfully painted by the artist! BeAuTiFuL! An exQuisite antique Limoges Decorative plate set! This same pattern can be seen on page 86 of "The Collectors Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain" by M. Gaston - book value given for one 9" plate is $175!
