Offered for your consideration is a handsome brooch by one of the early Jewelry manufacturing families in America. Riker brothers succeeded their father in Newark, NJ jewelry manufacturing. They are particularly known for their enameling and for several new techniques widely used in jewelry making.
Pieces from this company are therefore highly collectable. It is a lovely more than 6 CT fully faceted Citrine stone in a heavy 14K surround with Seed pearls and enameled Greek Key decoration. It has a 'T' bar clasp which is hallmarked 14K and another 14K mark on the surround with the Riker Brothers hallmark on the back.
The brooch is in excellent estate condition. It is 1 1/16" by 3/4" and weighs 7.3 grams. A treasure that because of the maker will only increase in value.
