I think the Victorians just couldn't help themselves. They took a perfectly nice stone and placed it in a detailed surround and then added 8 Diamonds and 8 Seed Pearls. The result is an absolutely quintessential Victorian ring that is sure to please.
The ring is size 6.25 and weighs 5.0 grams, it can be sized. It is hallmarked 14K for fineness and A.S.H. Co. for the maker. The center stone is an @6CT corundum Ruby. Rubies have been simulated for Centuries. The process that made this stone has been published since 1837. It results in an absolutely stunning Pigeon Blood Red stone. The most prized color.
If this ring had a real Ruby none of us could ever buy it. But the resultant synthetic stone still will provide the embellishment you would want in a ring like this.
