By far my most impressive cameo. A large 2 1/4" by 2" with a typical "T bar" clasp this distinguished gentleman appears to be from the 1850's. It certainly is in the style of Queen Victoria's Prince Albert.
Often people who were traveling had cameos carved of themselves but rarely so grandly. This obviously prosperous gentleman in beautiful 18K gold surround is truly unique. Typically, the other male cameos I have had are of angels or mythological figures - usually warriors. What a special piece for a true collector.
