This chased Sterling Rouge Pot from 1908 is detailed and darling. It is small. It is 2" by 1 3/8" when closed but only 2+ mm wide. You slide it with its beautiful Topaz cabochon to reveal two compartments for perfume rouge or lipstick.
It is hallmarked Birmingham the Lion Passant for Sterling and the letter 'i' for 1908. It is in remarkable condition with no dings or repairs and much of its gold gilt in place. Such a handsome detailed beauty and so unique.
I had a hard time coming to its purpose until I showed it to my partner who remembered her Victorian Grandmother had one. Lucky for me she recognized it.
