This series began the "so called modern era" of limited edition plate collecting and the first in crystal other than china and porcelain. 37 years later they are still prize among plate collectors because of the exceptional quality and workmanship of Lalique crystal. The complete set of 12 plates includes the very rare first plate dated 1965, Deux Oiseau (Two Birds). The plates have a limited Edition of 1,000. The condition of the plates are mint. They are clear, with little if any markings as most have been stored away or kept in boxes. Not all plates have the original box, some still have the labels. Each plate is hallmarked, Lalique, France. Marie-Claude is the daughter of Marc Lalique and the granddaughter of Rene Lalique. Plate Measurement:: 8-1/2"
