1940's Reja Lily Pin
For being almost 75 years old, this pin is in great shape! It was designed by Reja. "Reja" used to be "Deja" but Deja had to changed its name due to a law suit and subsequent court order that was started by DuJay who said that their names were too similar. Confused? It sounds like a real "Peyton Place" but Deja did change to Reja and "Reja" is the signature on the back of this pin.
It measures 3.25" tall and is over 2" at its widest point. It is very 3-dimensional and has a good heft to it. Tiny red bezel set crystals are used to top off the lily's stamens. The enamel has small little worn spots here and there and a small amount of wear to the gold wash on the back but it does not take away from the detail of this piece.
