Vintage Hattie Carnegie figural elephant pin. This piece is a beautiful elephant pin that is decorated with an assortment of plastic accents in a dark gold tone metal foundation. The pin starts at the top with a large butterscotch colored scarab that is made of plastic and has a unique design on it that looks somewhat like snake symbols. The other parts of the elephant are decorated with small coral colored plastic beads of different sizes that make up the head dress and the eye. The ear has a red plastic scarab on it that looks wonderful and has some artistic linear designs on it to accent the scarab. The front of the elephant has an assortment of sizes of plastic cabochons in the colors of coral, yellow, and red. The tusk and feet of the elephant are made up of ivory colored plastic and the legs are covered in small coral colored plastic beads as well. This is all set in a dark gold tone metal that has a very aged but beautiful appearance to
it that really grabs the attention of the viewer. The back of the pin indicates that this piece could also substitute as a necklace having a very sturdy pendant bail on the top. The pin and locking "C" clasp also hold very securely. The back of the pin is signed "Hattie Carnegie" in an oval cartouche and the entire elephant measures 2" long by 2 1/4" in width. This item is in great condition and has all it's original pieces intact with no scratches or wear to any part.
