Royal crown pin from the 1940s. This regal jewel is a patriotic passion for the red, white, and blue. The pin is the work of designer Alfred Philippe. It is signed "Trifari Sterling Des. Pat. No. 137542" which dates the piece to 1944. The sterling crown features two domed opalescent glass cabs, 21 clear rhinestone chatons, 10 blue baguettes and chatons, and 11 red rhinestones. The crown is topped with a red Jelly Belly jewel that looks to die for. All of the gems are set in sterling silver with gold vermeil over it. The crown is 2 1/2" long by 1 3/8" wide and is in excellent condition. The old sterling safety clasp is in good working order and the sterling vermeil finish retains the original old patina as well. A brilliant Trifari sterling silver royal patriotic crown pin from the 1940s.
