A unique collection of old Gillette Razor, blade inserts, and original case. This is such a unique old collectible from the 1930s with a three piece gold washed brass metal that makes the handle which unscrews from the comb tooth top and front plate. The bottom side of the comb tooth is signed "Gillette" in a long diamond plaque as well as "Made in U.S.A.". Above this is the Patent numbers and re-issue patent reading "Pat. No. 1815745; Pat. No. 1958316 and Reissue Pat. No. 17567". This dates the razor to between 1931 and 1933. It comes with the original case which is pretty worn from age but still holds the razor and has a space for the blade inserts as well. There is a small rectangle cardboard case of blue blades by "King Gillette". The blades are inserted between the comb and front plate. Each blade reads "Known the World Over Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. Gillette Blue Blade Made in the U.S.A." The razor measures 3 1/4" long and it still to this day shaves just as good as any modern razor I have seen which is amazing considering it has made it through the Great Depression and World War II! You can buy it to collect or to use. An awesome birthday or Christmas gift for your husband or father as well.
