Elizabeth Taylor for Avon Katharina Cross small pendant and pin necklace. This is the small pendant and pin from the Katharina Collection that Taylor made for Avon in 1994. This piece was inspired by Taylor's performance as Katharina in "The Taming of the Shrew" and the Renaissance styles displayed in the film. This piece is composed of 22kt gold plated metal which forms a unique openwork cross with the bottom half that is suspended and swings from two hooks. The cross is accented by faux rubies on each end of the cross as well as a square of small faux pearls that are all set around a center square glass faux emerald center stone. The back of the cross has a pin and locking "C" clasp as well as a latch pendant bail which holds the black velvet cord which adjusts between 17" and 20" in length. The velvet cord has a lobster claw clasp that holds well and the back of the pendant/pin is signed "Elizabeth Taylor Avon" in an oval plaque. The pendant measures 2 1/4" long by 1 7/8" wide and is in amazing condition having never been worn before. A great gift idea that has a gorgeous appearance but is also subtle and simple allowing you to wear it for and with just about anything. We also have the same pendant in a large size for sale. It is not pictured if interested please e-mail me. Also not pictured we have the earrings to match the cross priced seperate.
