The Zebra Stripe bracelet and earrings by Elizabeth Taylor for Avon. This set is so bold having bright 22kt gold plated metal with black enamel forming the Zebra stripe design element. The Collection comes from the inspiration Taylor got while vacationing with Richard Burton in the Country of Botswana. The Zebra is noted as one of the Serengeti's most popular creatures and Elizabeth Taylor loved the natural wildlife which she talks about in the Informational insert included with the jewelry. The bracelet is composed of Ebony toned bangles which are accented by gold plated metal sections that are striped with black enamel and white rhinestone rings. The inside of each section is signed "Elizabeth Taylor Avon" within an oval cartouche. The earrings are glowing gold tone metal hoops that are accented with black enamel Zebra stripes and held on each ear by clip backs. The clip backs are set on the back of a center ornate gold tone metal center of Zebra heads inside of two columns of white rhinestones. The earrings are also signed "Elizabeth Taylor Avon" and the bracelet measures 3 1/2" for the inner wrist diameter and is the larger of the two bracelet sizes for this collection. The earrings measure 1 5/8" long by 1 3/4" wide and each piece comes with the original boxes and velvet pouches as well as inserts that detail Taylor's inspirations and description of the Zebra Stripe Collection in both English and French versions. These pieces are in excellent condition having never been worn since it's creation in 1994.
