A beautiful vintage Verlys signed molded glass vase. Initially this pattern was know as 'Les Cabochons', No.1157 when made in France in the 1930's. The pattern was also made in the U.S. in the same opalescent color way until about 1940 when the opalescent effect was ceased. The French pieces were marked with a molded "Verlys, France" hallmark while U.S. made Verlys were marked with a diamond script 'Verlys' on the base which is how this piece is signed. This vase is made up of a fine thick molded art glass material. There are carved floral designs that surround a number of protruding bumpy rounds that look like raspberries which are the sections that have a more cloudy opalescent blue tone that look gorgeous. This piece is in excellent overall condition with no cracks, scratches, or chips and the entire piece measures 6 1/2" long with the top having a 6 13/16" diameter and the base having a 3 11/16" diameter. The bottom is signed "Verlys" and the vase would make a great home decoration as well as the perfect gift for collectors.
