A figural chrome bird ashtray from the Art Deco period. This piece is made up of a nice chrome metal that makes this round tray centered by two birds that look like penguins. These birds have large beaks that are formed like a ducks bill which holds the cigarette firmly inside. The bottom of the tray is signed "Pincherette" and "by Diecasters, Inc Ridgefield, N.J., U.S.A." There is also a mark that reads "Pat. Nos. 98,596-167,702-167,703" and "Other Pats. Pend" This dates the ashtray to the 1940s. This ashtray measures 4 1/2" in diameter and has some minor bumps and scratching from age. Otherwise in great condition.
