A unique plate made in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. This plate is very unique being composed of fine china that is decorated with beautiful ornate gold trim work that makes a floral arrangement in each corner of the dish. There is floral impressions around the outside of the plate as well and a purple colored exterior lines the plate. This all surrounds the center design composed of three large red fruits that appear to be cherries on a green stem with leaves surrounding. These large red fruits are very eye catching and make for a great decorative piece. The signature "Souvenir of Excelsior Springs, MO." is at the base of the plate which also measures 10 7/8" in diameter by about 1 1/2" deep. This piece is in great overall condition only having a few small chips on the back and I believe it was made sometime in the mid 1900s. A great gift idea for collectors of this kind of work.
