Hattie Carnegie Heraldic cuff bracelet. This item is made up of a fine gold tone metal foundation which forms a thin band that cuffs around the wrist. The center of the bracelet has a Heraldic emblem which is the Imperial double headed eagle. The eagles are set back to back against one another with wings sprawled out and a crown above the heads. The emblem is made in the likeness of a famous Austrian coin for the Archduchess of Austria. The inscription above the double headed eagle reads "Archid. Aust. Dux. Burg. Co. Tyr. 1780" which translates to "Archduchess of Austria, Duchess of Burgundy, Countess of Tyrol, 1780." The inside of the band has the signature "Hattie Carnegie" within an oval cartouche and the entire piece measures 7" in circumference and has a 2" long by 2 1/4" inner opening for the wrist. The metal is also 2" wide. This item is in excellent condition having an intentional aged appearance that gives it a unique quality.
