A very special and famous piece of costume jewelry that has been replicated by many designers but never done quite as well as when Hattie made it. This beautiful fur clip is a large Asian princess design with gorgeous glass accents that make up the princess crown, earrings, necklace and blouse. This gorgeous piece has white rhinestones and green glass oval and marquise cuts that make up the princess crown. The dangling earrings are made up of two large white rhinestones within metal frames that extend from the figures ears. The princess has a dress on that is accented by white rhinestones as well as a row of prong set green marquise cuts beneath the rhinestones. The most amazing part of the clip and the section which distinguishes the Hattie's model from the rest is the movable necklace. The top part of the chain is attached to the shoulder area and suspends a gorgeous necklace which has white rhinestone accents for the chain and a very large prong set green rhinestone for the center pendant. The chain of the necklace actually moves around which gives this piece an added quality and realistic appeal. The lips have a bit of worn red enamel and the rhinestones for the necklace are a bit dull from age but this does not take from the overall quality of such a highly sought after and rare Carnegie item. The back is signed "HC" within a diamond shaped plaque which signifies Hattie Carnegie's first signature on costume jewelry. This lets the collector know that they are getting a very rare and unique piece as not to many of Hattie Carnegie's first jewelry pieces are still in circulation. The fur clip has two prongs which hold great and the entire clip measures 4" long by 2 1/2" wide. This item is so amazing and one in which not many will have the chance to witness again. A very special piece of old Hattie Carnegie costume jewelry signed HC.
