A piece of vintage Trifari costume jewelry from the 1940s. This piece is one of designer Alfred Philippe's great compositions being part of the jelly belly series. This is a fur clip made to resemble a horse head. The horse is made up of a fine gold tone sterling silver metal that forms the horse head and mane. The mane is lined with pave set white rhinestones and the head has an eye made of a red glass cabochon. The neck of the horse is made up of a clear lucite jelly belly. The back has a two pronged fur clip as well as the signatures "Trifari Sterling Pat Pend. 138353" which dates this item to July 18th, 1944. This horse head jelly belly fur clip has some minor wear to the gold tone sterling from age but no missing rhinestones and measures 1 7/8" long by 1 1/2" wide. It is a highly collectible piece with the potential to add quality to your Jelly Belly Series and would also be perfect for those people who are interested in horse collectibles.
