Hattie Carnegie Christmas Tree Pin. You can always have the holidays with this Hattie Carnegie Christmas tree pin that is made with a battery in the base of the tree that originally allowed the pin to light up. The tree is made with a gold plated metal foundation that forms this triangular pine tree with a star on top of it. The center of the tree is accented by blue, red, and green rhinestones of different sizes bezel set into gold tone metal frames. The star on top of the tree is accented by small white rhinestones and the bottom of the tree has a round section with a gold plated metal cap that is held in place by a small gold toned metal wire. This section is where the battery is placed and the battery size for this pin is a round 386 for watches and other small electronics. The back of this piece has a nice pin and clasp that holds great and the signature "Hattie Carnegie" is on the back of the pin within an oval cartouche. The base of the back side is also signed "Lic. Pat. No. 3119564" in two rectangular plaques. This patent dates the item to 1964 and it measures 2 1/2" long by 1 1/4" in width. This piece does not light up but we are trying to get it repaired and it is in amazing condition with no wear to the metal or missing gems at all. A fabulous Hattie Carnegie Christmas tree brooch.
