Florenza perfume/pill holder pendant necklace from the 1950s. This amazing necklace is made up of a very nice and long gold toned metal chain which loops through the pendant bail of a special style of locket pendant. This centerpiece is called a vinaigrette which is made to hold scents, perfumes, or may even be used to hold pills as many women used to do. This vinaigrette is made up of a nice gold plated filigree metal which forms this piece that looks somewhat like a hot air balloon. This piece is topped with a gold tone filigree ball and is also accented with turquoise colored glass cabochons that are bezel set and surrounded by small red bezel set rhinestones. The pendant is also made with a dangle made up of a filigree gold plated metal top and six gold toned metal chains beneath the top. The necklace is signed inside the vinaigrette "Florenza" and the necklace measures 24" long with the centerpiece being 3" in length as well. The chain is fastened with a spring ring clasp and the whole entire piece is just so unique and well crafted having no missing glass or rhinestones at all. It dates to the late 1950s around 1958 and is in great overall condition.
