A very lovely pair of McClelland Barclay wings. This amazing set of fur clips was inspired by Barclay's action in World War II and are probably some of his most valuable and hard to find jewelry. These two wing fur clips are composed of a fine gold plated metal foundation which makes up a base wing that looks so nice. On top of each of the base wings are rhodium plated metal wings that are very detailed and screwed onto the gold plated foundation. These wings are equipped with two pronged fur clips that hold very well and the back of one of the wings is signed "Barclay" within a rectangular cartouche. These fur clips measure 2 3/4" long by 7/8" in width and have only a tiny bit of wear to the gold plating which is very good considering they were made in the late 1930s. A very nice and well made pair of McClelland Barclay wing fur clips.
