A magnificent set of old Trifari jewelry from the mid 1940s. This set is the timeless jelly belly seal pin with matching jelly belly earrings. The circus seal is composed of a sterling silver base metal that has a lovely vermeil over it and is accented with beautiful gems. The seal has a white rhinestone pave set in it's ear as well as a red glass cabochon bead for it's eye. The creature's tail as well as it's flippers are covered in pave set white rhinestones which are all accounted for and look great. The most amazing parts of this pin are the large turquoise colored brilliant cut gemstone that the seal is balancing on it's nose as well as the lucite jelly belly center that makes up the body section. The beautiful gemstone measures 12mm in diameter and looks breathtaking. The lucite jelly belly is also perfect having no scratches or chips at all. The back of this item has a nice pin and clasp closure and is signed "Trifari" with a crown over the "T" on the back of the seal's head. The signature "Sterling" is on the back bottom and the patent number is also on the back of the tail reading "Des. Pat. No. 135188" dating this item to March 9th, 1943. The earrings are made up of a gold plated sterling silver metal which forms an oval shaped foundation. The edge of this foundation is lined with pave set white rhinestones leading into a center lucite jelly belly cabochon. Th earrings are clip backs which hold nicely and the signature "Trifari" with a crown over the "T" is on the back of the clip. The back bottom of these earrings is signed "Sterling" and both measure 7/8" long by 3/4" in width. The pin measures 2 1/2" long by 1 3/4" in width and is in fabulous condition with barely any wear to the gold toned vermeil finish. The pin also comes with a copy of the design, patent number, and date that was signed by Alfred Philippe and his attorney. A wonderful set of Trifari jelly belly jewelry.
