Art Nouveau necklace with 10kt gold, coral, celluloid, and faux pearls. This piece embodies the creativity and style that marked the Art Nouveau period defined by fluid line work and items made with an emphasis on organic forms. This item is composed of two strands of 10kt yellow gold chains that connect to sections made up of 10kt gold vines mixed with gold tone gilt metal that make leaves leaves and imitation pearls that symbolize grapes on a grape vine. These sections connect to bezel set coral colored celluloid flowers in gold tone metal. There are also two bezel set genuine coral beads in gold toned metal. The centerpiece section consists of amazing gold tone gilt flowers, imitation pearl grapes, and 10kt gold vines surrounding a lovely coral colored celluloid cameo face that is partially hidden by the grape vine motif. The necklace is fastened with a spring ring clasp that is signed "10K" and the entire necklace measures 14" in length with the centerpiece being an additional 4" long. This piece is in excellent condition and has a quality that still by today's standards is difficult to match.
