A beautiful McClelland Barclay sapphire colored gemstone necklace. This beautiful necklace is composed of a brass metal which has rectangular open centered links that tie together to form the necklace chain. This chain connects to a small connecting pendant which is made up of a gold toned metal with a rhodium plated metal piece screwed onto it. This rhodium plated metal is accented with 12 pave set white rhinestones, two white baguette cut gemstones, and a large center emerald cut sapphire colored gemstone. This section connects to the center pendant which is made up of eight enticing sapphire colored crystals in large emerald cuts of different sizes mixed with tiers of clear rhinestones pave set in polished gold toned metal. The pendant also has two prong set white baguette cut gemstones that look amazing. The back of this pendant is signed "McClelland Barclay" and this item is fastened with a silver metal fold over style clasp. This necklace measures 19 5/8" long with the pendant section being 3 1/8" long by 2 1/8" in width. This necklace has no missing or darkened gemstones and the metal looks to be in fabulous condition. A very well crafted piece of McClelland Barclay jewelry from the 1930s to 1940s Art Deco Period.
